Price Notesindicative asking prices – but we are open to negotiation

We are keen sellers and would love to see this vessel go to someone who could put their name on it from day 1, creating a fantastic legacy for their business, family, it deserves a good home, if not then we may fish it – but unfortunately this is subject to our selling some vessels to rationalise our fleet – we just have too many top quality modern fishing boats, meaning we don’t have enough quota, skippers or crew – oh and then there is the financial resources – so were keen sellers.

FV Legacy, designed and built by Stark Bros of NZ in 2012, at 16m and 115 tonnes, it builds on the Stark Family Legacy of commercial fishing boats designed, built, operated, repaired and maintained to the highest standard by the Stark Family of Lyttelton, NZ since 1967. The capabilities and presentation of this 7 year old vessel will impress.  Built in Lloyds A Grade steel plate over shipbuilding bulb flat ( Holland Profile) frames for strength and paint performance, it is obviously above spec for a 16m boat and built to last.  Fitted with Stability Wings, it is a stable platform for crew comfort and fishing operations.  With all the necessary fishing electronics to catch fish in a wide range of conditions and to then maximise the value of fresh fish, while utilising a CPP, Fixed nozzle with Rudder to maximise bollard pull and minimise fuel consumption.  In addition to standard echo sounder, the FV Legacy also has a WASSP – specialist Wide Angle Sonar give 3D bottom mapping, and Marport net and trawl door monitors, 2 net rollers and good trawl winches, a conveyor from deck pound to sorting table inside the shelter deck, carrying 480 bins in the refrigerated hold, with the onboard Salt Water Ice maker, this vessel is fully self-contained with its own unloading derrick to land fish from the hold directly to the wharf or truck.  It is currently fishing, but due to additional vessels joining the Stark Family fleet, it is now being marketed for sale.

This design is intended as a trawler or longliner, and this is the 20m variant. Like the others it provides the opportunity for fishers to tailor their fish hold volume to suit their operational requirements, around a common engineering backbone. Built in aluminium, significantly over-strength and further ballasted for seakeeping performance, this vessel offers greater strength and dramatically reduced through-life maintenance compared with a steel equivalent. Structural design is well in excess of Lloyds Register requirements. The specification has been developed to meet or exceed the Maritime NZ standards, but if you have a customer seeking to operate in another jurisdiction we would be happy to review the appropriate regulations and quote for minor changes required (if any).

This design is intended as a trawler or longliner, offered in three increments (20, 22 and 24metres), and here is the 24m version. The hull and layout is also designed to facilitate easy mid-body extension using a pre-fabricated module to adapt to changing needs in the future. A well-designed fish hold is tailored for the fish cases used in operation: steps in the sole and sides to accommodate the hull shape are sized and located to suit efficient and safe stacking. The fish holds are currently designed around standard fish cases common across the New Zealand marketplace and we recommend that we adapt the hold layout to suit other fish case geometries for other geographies. Built in aluminium, significantly over-strength and further ballasted for seakeeping performance, this vessel offers greater strength and dramatically reduced through-life maintenance compared with a steel equivalent. Structural design is well in excess of Lloyds Register requirements. Crew comfort is foremost in this design, with sleeping for six, in three separate cabins and generous galley, mess and washroom facilities, all finished in modern, easy-case materials to ensure a high visual and hygiene standard can be maintained with minimal maintenance. Fish Hold LxBxD: 11m x 5.9m x 2.1m, Fish Hold Volume: 127m3, Fish Cases: 1384 ( max 9 high ). Crew: 6. 1 x Scania DI16 071M “A-rated” marine diesel engine 460bkW (617 bhp).

This design is intended as a trawler or longliner).  The hull and layout is designed to facilitate easy mid-body extension using a pre-fabricated module to adapt to changing needs in the future. The underlying philosophy is of rigorous engineering of a reliability- and longevity-focused platform.  Accordingly the specification has been developed based on the highest quality equipment and fittings available.  Initially offered with conventional diesel propulsion, we would be pleased to work with your customers on low-emission variants if this is of interest. The specification has been developed to meet or exceed the Maritime NZ standards, but if you have a customer seeking to operate in another jurisdiction we would be happy to review the appropriate regulations and quote for minor changes required (if any). Crew comfort is foremost in this design, with sleeping for six, in three separate cabins and generous galley, mess and washroom facilities, all finished in modern, easy-case materials to ensure a high visual and hygiene standard can be maintained with minimal maintenance. This is conceived as a vessel to deliver many decades of efficient, reliable fishing.
