This design is intended as a trawler or longliner). The hull and layout is designed to facilitate easy mid-body extension using a pre-fabricated module to adapt to changing needs in the future. The underlying philosophy is of rigorous engineering of a reliability- and longevity-focused platform. Accordingly the specification has been developed based on the highest quality equipment and fittings available. Initially offered with conventional diesel propulsion, we would be pleased to work with your customers on low-emission variants if this is of interest. A well-designed fish hold is tailored for the fish cases used in operation: steps in the sole and sides to accommodate the hull shape are sized and located to suit efficient and safe stacking. The fish holds are currently designed around standard fish cases common across the New Zealand marketplace and we recommend that we adapt the hold layout to suit other fish case geometries for other geographies. Built in aluminium, significantly over-strength and further ballasted for seakeeping performance, this vessel offers greater strength and dramatically reduced through-life maintenance compared with a steel equivalent. Structural design is well in excess of Lloyds Register requirements. The specification has been developed to meet or exceed the Maritime NZ standards, but if you have a customer seeking to operate in another jurisdiction we would be happy to review the appropriate regulations and quote for minor changes required (if any). Crew comfort is foremost in this design, with sleeping for six, in three separate cabins and generous galley, mess and washroom facilities, all finished in modern, easy-case materials to ensure a high visual and hygiene standard can be maintained with minimal maintenance. This is conceived as a vessel to deliver many decades of efficient, reliable fishing.

This design is intended as a trawler or longliner, and this is the 20m variant. Like the others it provides the opportunity for fishers to tailor their fish hold volume to suit their operational requirements, around a common engineering backbone.
