A 70ft Classic Schooner (one family owner since new) in survey for day charter. Beautifully finished and fitted out, superbly well maintained, comfortable and sea kindly. With masthead rig, furling headsails and a lifting pivoted centerplate, she’s the ultimate blend of traditional character and modern gear and rig. A very appealing schooner designed and built by Lex Lundmark in1960 for his wife and himself to cruise the Pacific in Captain Cook’s footsteps. It has has been in the owner’s family since she was built. Son John rebuilt and refitted the vessel in 2008 and has proudly maintained her in perfect condition. It features the latest hydraulics and navigation technology while carefully retaining her original distinctive and elegant style. Apart from a comfortable recreational yacht with character, she is currently in survey for charter and is a popular choice with her accommodation for 10 overnight plus two crew, with plenty of deck space for 20 day guests. Being in charter, a new owner has the flexibility to defray berth and maintenance costs. She is powered by a 127 hp Gardner engine which provides a cruising speed of nine knots making her an efficient motorsailer if preferred. Her aesthetic appeal has made her desirable as seagoing segments for film production. Viaduct berth available on application. Charter business available by negotiation.
