18.26m Charter Launch built 1998 in New Zealand to Maritime NZ survey for up to 50 passengers. Designed by Richard McBride and constructed by renowned Carey’s Boatyard of double diagonal Kauri ply glassed over. Powered by twin DI13 Scania marine diesel engines developing 700 HP each at 2300 rpm, providing a service speed of 20 knots. The Onan 6.5kVA genset provides 240 volt electrical services on board. Fuel and water capacity 2000 litres and 500 litres respectively. Large volume accommodation with roomy saloon, open galley and two cabins with 8 bunks including double. Enclosed Flybridge, large cockpit, along with boarding platform and tender storage. Vessel could be converted to family boat.

The two main engines are Scania DI13 IMO Tier II six cylinder turbo marine diesel engines which develop 522 kW each at 2300 rpm and are rated for intermittent service. Each main engine drives aft through a Scania gearbox with 1.92:1 reduction which are coupled to conventional 76mm 2205 stainless shafts driving 5 blade propellers.
Auxiliary power is provided by a Onan 6.5 kVA, 50Hz, 1-phase diesel generator to supply the vessel’s primary AC 230 volts, 50 Hz AC electrical power.

On the foredeck there is an electric Maxwell 3000 anchor windlass with a single gypsy loaded with 100 meters of 10 mm short link chain rode coupled to a 25 kg CQR anchor.
On the aft deck are aft and side boarding gates.
A custom-built tender garage is fitted under the aft deck off the aft boarding platform
The Saloon is accessed off the aft deck and is large open plan, with helm station to starboard forward and galley adjacent down to port. Forward is a large cabin with 5 single berths and a Vee berth. Aft to starboard is a cabin with a double berth.

Under bench Fridge
Stainless steel sink and benchtop
The vessel is equipped and maintained with the safety equipment required for MNZ survey. A Fixed Fire-Extinguishing system with FirePro FP-2000 fire extinguishing generator is fitted the engine room. Life buoys, GME Accusat 406MHz EPIRB are also provided. Lifesaving appliances are provided for up to sixty (60) persons.
