Alan Pape 42 is an exceptional example of a traditional blue water cruising yacht built in 1998 by Morvoren Seacraft to a design by renowned yacht designer. She is a strongly constructed round-bilge steel vesseldesigned for safe and comfortable ocean cruising.

Her 6 mm steel hull below the waterline, long keel with 4.5 tonnes of lead ballast, and fully insulated construction provide outstanding strength, stability, and protection for long-distance voyages.

Combining classic lines with practical offshore capability, she is an ideal choice for sailors looking for a reliable liveaboard cruiser.

Powered by a Perkins Prima M.50 50 HP diesel engine with a Hurth hydraulic gearbox and a fixed three-bladed propeller, she offers dependable and economical performance under power.

The Bermudan cutter rig, built by Eurospars of Plymouth to Ocean specification, features a deck-stepped alloy mast, Dyform standing rigging, roller-furling Yankee, staysail, mainsail with lazyjacks and lazybag, plus a complete offshore sail wardrobe including trysail and storm jib.

The yacht is equipped with an impressive range of cruising systems, including solar charging, wind generator, inverter, battery banks, electric anchor windlass, Monitor windvane self-steering, radar, GPS, chartplotter, VHF, and comprehensive safety equipment.

The traditional teak interior offers a warm and comfortable living environment, with accommodation for five guests in three cabins plus the saloon. The layout includes an L-shaped saloon seating area with convertible berth, fully equipped galley with three-burner stove, oven, fridge, and double sink, a forward V-berth cabin, two aft cabins, and a separate heads compartment with shower.

Designed for extended voyages and self-sufficient cruising, she benefits from excellent storage, diesel heating, a well-equipped deck, and a complete tender package.

This is a capable and proven ocean-going cruiser, offering comfort, security, and timeless character for serious sailors seeking adventure around the world.
