A classic Jongert 16S Flushdeck (54 feet), built in 1979 and designed by Trewes (Van de Meer), is constructed with a robust steel hull and superstructure and has undergone two major refits.

The first was an extensive rebuild carried out between 1999 and 2003, including a 286 HP Vetus/Deutz main engine, hydraulic system and rigging. A second major refit followed in 2014, focusing mainly on the interior and also adding a 12 kW Kohler generator.

The yacht offers a comfortable and spacious layout with two master cabins plus a separate captain’s cabin, making her particularly suitable for extended cruising.

She carries 2500 litres of fuel and 2500 litres of fresh water and has a long-keel configuration, with a cruising speed of approximately 8.5 knots and a top speed of around 10 knots.

Jongert 16S has continued to receive regular upgrades and maintenance. Her underwater hull received a complete bottom job last winter, while allsails were replaced approximately three years ago and the mizzen is brand new.

The yacht is equipped with a Side-Power T185 bow thruster, Simrad VHF, GPS and 3D HD radar, solar panels, electric Jabsco toilets, and both gas and electric cooking facilities.

The teak decks and upper superstructure were renewed during the 2002/03 overhaul. With approximately 2700 engine hours, a proven heavy-duty construction and a history of substantial refits.

The boat is currently in good overall condition and requires only minor cosmetic work. She represents an attractive opportunity to own a genuine Jongert with the equipment and capability for comfortable long-distance cruising.
