1.1 The design of machinery part to satisfy with the regulations concerned in “regulations for the classification of sea-going steel ships” issued by BV Classification society and the rules concerned in “International Convention For The Safety Of Life At Sea” and “Convention Of 73/78 Ant-Pollution” and relative modification.
1.2 This ship to be an oil tanker propelling by fixed screw with two main engine, two shafting. The propulsion system made up of main diesel, high elastic coupling, reduction gearbox, intermediate shaft, screw shaft and distance shaft. The XCW8200ZC type diesel made in Weichai Power Diesel Factory, the power to be 928kw, the rate of revolution to be 1000 r/min. The main engine telecontrolled by bridge, and also can be controlled near the main engine. tele-controll include main engine accelerate, deceleration, stop and gearbox astern, ahead running, free running. The main engine running instrument and system alarm to be arranged in driver cabin console. The monitor room with main engine monitoring instrument, main & auxiliary engine alarm sign device and alarm device of the other equipment, main switchboard etc. To be arranged in engine room.
1.3 The electric power station made up of two 150kw×1800r/min Main Diesel Generator set, and one 75kw×1800r/min emergency generator set. One main diesel oil generator set can be satisfied with the electro-require of whole ship in daily sail; when unloading, use main diesel oil generator set to drive the liquid cargo pump by clutch, the emergency generator set to be used in emergency.
1.4 The fixed CO² firefighting system to be arranged in Engine Room & pump room, the water firefighting system to be arranged in ship, the fixed deck foam firefighting system to be arranged in liquid cargo tank area. The portable fire extinguisher to be arranged in other position.
1.5 Steam & exhaust gas boiler to be arranged in this ship, for the heating of heavy fuel oil tank and heavy oil parter pipe.

The Propelling Plant Is Diesel To Be Main Engine, Set Two Shafting &Fixed Screw. Each Shafting Set One Propeller Shaft and One Intermediate Shaft to be Arranged insure that Main Engine and Gearbox Running Safely. One High Elastic Coupling to be arranged between Main Engine and Gearbox.
Propeller shaft bearing adopt macromolecule synthetic plastic, water lube. Propeller shaft and intermediate shaft connected by removable coupling. Propeller shaft draw out form stern.
Intermediate shaft, propeller shaft all forged of high-grade carbon steel. The length of intermediate shaft to be 830mm, basic diameter to be 200mm: the length of propeller shaft to be 5795mm coverd with stainless steel, basic diameter to be 220mm. Shafting center line parallel with baseline , range to baseline 1800mm. the distance between of two shaft is 5800mm
5 POWER SYSTEM
5.1 Fuel System
Main Engine use heavy fuel oil, light diesel oil to be used when main engine is starting and before long-term stop. Generator diesel use light diesel oil. In emergency state, Main Engine Generator and Boiler all use light diesel oil.
The outlet valve of fuel tank (except for double bottom fuel tank) to be pneumatic quick-closed valve to be arranged on tank immediately, can be closed emergency out of engine room.
Heavy Oil Pipe set hot oil parter pipe.
5.1.2 Fuel Lighterage &Filling
System Equipment: One Fuel Oil Transfer Pump, One Light Diesel Oil Transfer Pump.
Fuel and Light Diesel Oil from Portside & Starboard Filling to Homologous Fuel Tank and Light Diesel Oil Tank.
2 Lighterage System
The Fuel in Heavy Oil Tank Lighterage to Fuel Sump Tank by Fuel Oil Transfer Pump.
The Light Diesel Oil Lighterage from Light Oil Tank to Light Diesel Oil or Light Diesel Oil Service Tank by Light Diesel Oil Transfer Pump. Fuel Oil Transfer Pump and Light Diesel Oil Transfer Pump standby each other.
5.1.3 Fuel Oil Cleaning System
System equipment: two fuel oil separator, two necessary outfit of separator heater.
The fuel in heavy oil sump tank. Enter into heavy oil service tank after separating & cleaning by fuel oil separator. The fuel oil separator can series-parallel according to standard of manufactory. the fuel oil separator can separate fuel oil and light diesel oil. The light diesel oil of light diesel oil sump tank can enter into light oil service tank by separating & cleaning of fuel oil separator. One of the fuel oil separator work, another to be standby or to be diesel oil separator. Each one separator has a hot oil heater. The heat temperature controlled by temperature adjusting device.
The water and sludge separated from separator drain to fuel sludge tank. Then drain to shore or dirty oil tank by sludge pump.
5.1.4 Fuel Oil Supply System
System Equipment: A suit of main engine oil supply unit, oil supply unit comprise: two main engine fuel circulating pump. Two main engine fuel oil supply pump. One main engine fuel oil atomized heater, a suit of main engine fuel oil viscosity controller & flow meter. One main engine oil return canister and one fuel oil recoil filter etc.
2 M/E F.O. System
The fuel oil of main engine fuel oil service tank enters into oil return canister through coarse filter and flow meter by main engine fuel oil supply pump. Main engine fuel oil circulating pump absorption oil from oil return canister, and transfer to main engine atomized heater ,enter into main engine high pressure oil pump through fine filter, then transfer to fuel injector. The return oil enter in to oil return canister or heavy oil service tank through overflow valve, The heat temperature of main engine fuel oil controlled by

The oil of generator diesel is supplied with light diesel oil service tank or light sump tank by gravity.
4 Emergency Generator Set Fuel Oil System. The light diesel oil of emergency generator set be supplied with emergency generator set oil supply tank.
5.2 Lubricating Oil System
5.2.1 Lubricating Oil Lighterage System
Main engine lubricating oil from injection scoop of poop deck filling into main engine lubricating oil reserve tank. The diesel generator set lubricating oil from poop deck filling into auxiliary engine lubricating oil reserve tank.
The lubricating transfer pump and hand pump used to allocate and transfer of engine room lubricating oil and can allocate lubricating oil to shore. The suction filter to be arranged on suction inlet of lubricating oil transfer pump.
5.2.2 Lubricating Oil Supply System
Auxiliary engine lubricating oil use cd40 motor oil. Main engine use 4030
high alkali lubricating oil when fuel uses heavy oil, (concrete according to
the request of equipment factory).
System equipment: two main engine lubricating oil pressure pump (M/E
Parentgesis), one m/e L.O. standby pump, suction filter. One lubricating oil
cooler, lubricating oil fine filter and lubricating oil circulating tank in double bottom.
The main engine lubricating oil pump suction pipe suck lubricating oil from main engine lubricating oil circulating tank by lubricating oil filter. Send into main engine lubricating oil supply piping system by lubricating oil cooler and lubricating oil fine filter, and enter into each lubricating locate of main engine. Main engine crankcase sump lubricating oil return to lubricating oil circulating tank.
The flow line temperature of cooler controlled by lubricating oil cooler by-pass three-way temperature sentinel valve. The diesel generator set auxiliary engine is wet crankcase sump self-circulating system. Pressure lubricating by lubricating oil system formed with each incident lubricating oil pump, lubricating oil cooler, filter and crankcase sump.
5.2.3 L.O. Cleaning System
One lubricating oil centrifugal separator to be arranged for continuous oil purification or intermittent oil purification by main engine lubricating oil system. Main engine adopt continuous oil purification under sail. The part of lubricating oil in main engine lubricating oil circulating tank suck by separator suction pump, separate after heat. The lubricating after separate return to lubricating oil circulating pump.
The lubricating oil in main engine lubricating oil store tank can be separated by lubricating oil separator, clean oil can return store tank or circulating tank.
The trapping of oil tray under the pump (except for the pump in engine room bilge , filter, heater, separator, oil tank will be lead into drain oil tank.
5.3 Cooling Water System
5.3.1 Seawater Cooling Pipe
The seawater supply instance of engine room: Main engine cooling seawater pump supply water when in sail, and set one m/e cooling S.W. stand-by pump. All suction of cooling water pump suck from seawater main pipe. The two sides of seawater main pipe connected with high sea suction & low sea suction, and set with sea suction, gate valve and coarse water filter.

3 Auxiliary Engine Seawater Cooling System
One Auxiliary Seawater Cooling Pump. One Air-Condition Seawater Cooling
Pump, One used as boiler conversation pump to be arranged. Two pumps standby
each other used to cooling of generator, air-condition and refrigerated equipment.
5.3.2 Flash Water Cooling System
1 Main Engine Flash Water Cooling System
System Equipments: Two sets relative equipment fresh water cooling, pump, one set electrical standby fresh water cooling pump. one freshwater cooler and one fresh water expansion chamber.
Main engine cylinder valve cooling water send into main engine through fresh water cooler by fresh water. The makeup water of fresh water expansion chamber come from fresh water pressure tank.
The fresh water cooler by-pass three way temperature sentinel valve in main engine fresh water cooling system. So those control main engine fresh water ex-engine temperature.
2 Diesel Engine Generator Set Flash Water Cooling System
Each generator diesel adopts independent closed type cooling system. Made up of relative equipment fresh water pump, fresh water cooler, relative equipment water expansion tank etc.
5.4 Compressed Air System
System Equipment: Two main air compressor, one deck air compressor, four
main air bottle (160l×3.0mpa), one whistle air bottle (80l×1.0mpa), one R.C. air reservoir bottle (80l×1.0mpa), one emergency A/E starting air reservoir bottle (80l×3.0mpa), one deck general service air compressor bottle (500l×3.0mpa), two a/e air bottle (80l×3.0mpa), set up pressure reducing valve, filter etc. else.
Main air bottle and auxiliary air bottle supplied by air compressor in sail when air not enough. The other main air compressor automatic working, charge to main air bottle.
Each main air bottle can supply to start, safely and control air fountain of main engine, and also can enter into auxiliary air bottle & emergency generator set air bottle.
5.4.2 Main Service Air System
Enter into 1mpa air whistled air bottle by pressure reducing valve. Supply to air whistled. Enter into 1.0mpa service air bottle by pressure reducing valve, supply to oil-water separator, oil discharge monitoring and control device, pneumatic quick-closing valve of oil tank apiece, CO² piping system blow-off etc.
The 0.4mpa compressed air from pressure reducing valve, supply to the following location: Blow-Off Of Sea Suction Apiece.

5.4.3 Emergency Control Air System
The air supplied by main air bottle decompress to 1.0mpa through pressure
reducing valve, enter into control air bottle, supply to main engine tele-controll system.
5.5 Exhaust Piping System
The vent-pipe made up of main engine, exhaust gas hot oil boiler and auxiliary vent-pipe.
The funnel to be arranged in this ship. The exhaust gas of main & auxiliary exhaust to atmosphere through expansion bellows connector, vent-pipe, and spark arresting snubber from funnel. The rains bend to be arranged in the vent-pipe outlet of the top of funnel, and set up spark arresting metal net. The vent-pipe should be covered with heat-insulation material.
5.6 Engine Room Vent
Two reversible axial-flow fan to be arranged in engine room, each fan inlet set with rat-proof net and wind gate. The fan stand on boat deck, lead to the part need air discharge by wind pipe. Ensure that the resolution of air in engine room. The closeable shutter to be arranged in funnel after screen. Wind-pipe and air blow inlet made of steel plate galvanized the air damper to be arranged in each wind inlet.
6 Liquid Cargo Handling System
Eight liquid cargo tank, two bilge tank to be arranged in this ship. Two
liquid cargo pump, one stripping pump to be arranged in pump room.
Two DN300 liquid cargo main pipe to be arranged in liquid cargo handing
area of main deck. Two DN300 main pipe connect to two liquid cargo pump in
inboard, each one pump can pump liquid cargo by liquid cargo suction (DN200, DN125).The liquid cargo filling into each liquid cargo tank by liquid cargo filling & vent pipe station pass main pipe and liquid cargo control valve of each tank. When transferring liquid cargo from ship to shore, transfer oil through suction, gate valve, filter and deck pipe station by liquid cargo pump suck oil from each liquid cargo tank in liquid cargo pump room.
The sludge tank to be arranged in #122^#126 floor, barge the dirty liquid
and tank cleaning water into sludge tank by stripping pump pipe, The dirty
oil in sludge tank can be callback to shore by striping pump when the ship
Each liquid cargo pump can be controlled in engine room, and also can be controlled by liquid cargo pump control plate in poop deck liquid cargo control room. Control the work of liquid cargo pump by use hand bottom to carry out disengage & switch on of clutch. The safe valve to be arranged to avoid that the pressure of liquid cargo pump vent-pipe over high.
6.2 Liquid Cargo Piping System & Cargo Oil Stripping Piping System
The material of liquid cargo piping system to be seamless steel tubing. All of the liquid cargo piping system valves to be flange spheroidal graphite cast iron oil tanker gate valve. The connection of pipe or pipe & equipment use steel flange connection.
The electric earth apparatus to be arranged in liquid cargo piping system
of liquid cargo area.
The pipe backing of liquid cargo piping system of liquid cargo area use ta-type (the material of block & dunned to be polytetrafluorethylene or nylon 1010) and landing credibility according to the standard of CB/T3780-1997. All of the steel pipe on deck fixed by u-style pipe clamp, and protected by polytetrafluorethylene fitting block.
6.3 Liquid Cargo Tank Air Vent System
The liquid cargo tank air system to be a independent system. Twin breathing valve (DN100) to be arranged in liquid cargo tank. The breathing valve can ensure that the pressure of liquid cargo tank and vacuum be settle for the design request of liquid cargo tank. At the same time, each breathing valve has by-pass pipe support to handing of liquid cargo. A few hot oil, air by way of pressure valve procreated when the temperature of liquid cargo tank changed can be discharged through fire-proof air vent higher than long walk bridge about 6m by breathing valve in anyway.
6.4 Liquid Cargo Tank Monitor System
6.4.1 Liquid Level Measurement & Alarm
The measure of level adopts sounding pipe style. Each liquid cargo tank & slop tank has sounding self-closed valve beside. Each one has a independence high level, over high level alarm installation (10 in all).Those sensors connect with alarm installation of 95%,98% high level, over high level in liquid cargo.
The level alarm box (with safely shelf etc.) to be arranged in liquid cargo control room. One sound alarm and two alarm lamp (one yellow and one red) to be arranged in navigation room.
6.4.2 Liquid Cargo Tank Pressure Measurement
One pressure sensor to be arranged on the top of each liquid cargo tank
and slop tank for monitoring the outlet pressure of each pump. Otherwise, one pressure gauge of local count and extend to liquid cargo pump control station to be arranged in each liquid cargo pump outlet, For monitoring the outlet pressure of each pump.
6.5 Deck Sprinkle System
In order to avoid the liquid cargo damnify by heated nimiety. The spraying system to be arranged in liquid cargo deck area. The spraying pipe educe from fire water main pipe to deck spraying main pipe at long walk bridge two side. The water fog head or spraying hole to be arranged on pipe. The spraying water flow two board side for cooling of liquid cargo tank.
7 Marine System
7.1 Bilge System
7.1.1 System Equipment
1 One bilge pump, common use with firefighting main pump and bilge main pump. One dirty oil pump, one bilge oil-water separator.
2 Engine Room Bilge System
Each of the tail of engine room front of engine left, right set up a bilge well set branch section in well, satisfied with the rule, set up one direct suction at left side & right side of engine room front. Connect to engine room bilge main pump and bilge firefighting main pump.
One emergency suction to be arranged to m/e cooling S.W. stand-by pump in engine room. Bilge oil-water separator suction pump separate after suck, it can be separated immediate from bilge water tank behind of engine room. The cleaning water to be drain to outboard after separating, the separated oil drain to dirty oil tank. When consistence of oil in bilge water higher than 15ppm after separating, on the one hand, oil consistence alarm start, at the same time, the oil drain to bilge water tank.
The sludge pump set can pump the engine room bilge water to bilge water tank. It also can drain bilge water to shore.
3 Pump room, bilge of cable holder, hydraulic pressure pump station, touring room, anchor windlass control room and emergency firefighting pump room drain to outboard by forward injection pump. The bilge of steering engine room drain into engine room bilge by self-closing drain valve.
7.2 Ship’s Drainage System
7.2.1 Exposed Deck Drainage
Several waterspout with fence to be arranged at outdoor deck.
The water outlet from upper weather deck flow to below weather deck. Until to the lowest weather deck. The water gets together at upwards of burden water line drain to outboard. The collocation of all waterspout of outboard should keep away from accommodation ladder, life boat and water gauge etc. mark.
7.2.2 Cabin Deck Drainage
The dirty water and drain of toilet (belong to black water according to international rule) connect to sewage treatment plant of engine room, drain to outboard by stop-check valve after deal with listerize, and set up by-pass drain to outboard immediately. The left & right dirty water international shore connection to be arranged on upper deck.
Dejected pipe and waterspout should have enough amount of inclination avoid small elbow, and set up several unclog mouth.
7.3 Fire-Extinguishing System
7.3.1 Water Fire-Extinguishing System
System Equipment: One firefighting main pipe and one foam firefighting pump to be arranged in bilge of engine room. Emergency firefighting pump to be arranged in fore emergency firefighting pump room. Driven by motor so that can supply fire main when engine room lost with electricity.
Firefighting main pipe supply water by firefighting main pump or foam fire pump, and connect with emergency fire pump (emergency fire pump suck water from emergency sea chest). The firefighting main pipe set up disconnecting valve out of engine room from engine room connected with deck firefighting main pipe. When engine room catches fire, close the disconnecting supply water to firefighting main pipe out of engine room by emergency firefighting pump.
Several fire hydrant to be arranged at deck firefighting main pipe, satisfied with the request of rule. Otherwise, the firefighting pipe out of engine room connects to superstructure deck, several firefighting hydrant to be arranged. The firefighting main pipe connect to bow for anchor chain wash; supply working water for bow bilge injection pump; the firefighting water system can also supply to sewage treatment plant wash and deck wash.
The firefighting water can be working water of deck foam fire extinguishing system.
The canvas hose with water spray dual-role gun and box to be arranged near the every firefighting hydrant. Two international shore connection on poop deck. The connection can connect with any firefighting hydrant, so that can be supplied water to firefighting system by shore or supply firefighting water to shore.
7.3.2 Co2 Fire Fighting System
CO² firefighting room to be arranged on poop deck. Seventeen (17) bottles 68L CO² steel bottle to be arranged at CO² firefighting room in this ship, for engine room and pump room fire fighting.co2 releasing by pneumatically actuated tele-controll releasing control box.
Ten (10) pieces CO² nozzles to be arranged in engine room. One (1) piece CO² releasing alarm to be arranged in engine room. Four (4) pieces co2 nozzles to
be arranged in pump room. One (1) piece releasing alarm whistles to be arranged in pump room.
7.3.3 Deck Foam Fire Fighting System
Fixed deck foam fire extinguisher system to be arranged at liquid cargo tank area in this ship.
One (1) set foam firefighting pump to be arranged in this ship. One (1) set foam cistern (1500l) and one (1) set foam pressure proportional mixed device to be arranged in main deck foam room.
Because this ship less than 4000 dwt, so this ship does not need foam monitors. Need foam applicators enough. Four (4) pieces foam applicators to be arranged at main deck. Foam fire main supported by firefighting main pump.
7.4 Water Supply System

System equipment: One (1) set service fresh water pump, one fresh water pressure tank.
Service fresh water supply to wash bowl, rose, washing machine, pantry, kitchen, clinical wash, bridge window wash.
7.4.2 Seawater Service System
System Equipment: one set service seawater pump, one seawater pressure tank.
Use seawater to supply to ship’s toilet flush.
7.4.4 Hot Water System
System equipment: one hot water tank (electrical, hot oil heating), supply to wash bowl, rose etc.
Fresh water system, hot water system & seawater system to be arranged in grouping according to tank, isolating to be arranged in groups a piece. When one group need over haul, other groups can also supply water.
7.5 Ship’s Sounding, Filling & Air Piping System
7.5.1 Air Piping System
All tank set up with air pipe.
The air pipe on weather deck should set float air pipe connection. The air
pipe connection in oil tank & drink water tank should set flame screen. The
quantity of flame screen (according to GB).
Set oil groove under the air pipe in oil tank a piece, for depollute sea water area.
7.5.2 Sounding Piping System
Except for the tank equipped with liquidometer in engine room, the bilge well of all oil tank, cofferdam, special ballast tank & chain locker should set sounding pipe. Sounding pipe set in the position of easy to reach on weather deck. Commonly sounding pipe to be φ40mm, sounding pipe in fuel tank to be φ50mm.
Sounding pipe of double-bottom tank in engine room should higher than checkered plate, and set self-closing sounding air pipe connection on the top of sounding pipe.
All sounding pipe set bronze connection & cap and identification mark.
7.5.3 Filling & Drainage To Shore Piping System
The main fuel filling pipe set in midship (the station of liquid cargo drain to shore).
The station set fixed trunk, the volume should measure up to rule.
Locate the lubricating oil filling pipe on poop deck. The end of pipe set valve, connect to oil tank, lubricating oil filling pipe is DN65mm. Locate the fresh water filling pipe on poop deck; each fresh water tank set an independent filling pipe connection. The fresh water filling pipe to be DN65mm.
7.6 Special Ballast Piping System
7.6.1 Special Ballast Pump

7.6.2 Special Ballast System
The design of special ballast piping system: one main ballast pipe (DN150) to be arranged at port side & starboard in special ballast water tank. All special ballast tank, connect to left or right main ballast pipe according to branch pipe (DN100). The mouth piece to be arranged in each ballast tank, the composite plate to be arranged under the mouth piece.
The special ballast pump to be arranged in pump room, the ballast pipe tele-controll valve system dipped in water tank adopt deck control and set switch indicator. The ballast pipe gate valve in pump room to be hand control style, the ballast water system can transfer in each port & starboard.
Choose one in discharge pipe of special ballast pump connect to main deck, near the cargo oil area, for drain contaminative ballast water. The forepeak ballast water sucks or drains through fore ballast pump. This ballast pipe adopts hand gate valve control.
7.7 Ship’s Vent Piping System
7.7.1 Liquid Cargo Tank & Special Ballast Tank Vent
Poop deck has set 1 explosion-proof axial exhaust fan, for lustrate gas in liquid cargo tank after unloading.
Special ballast tank use mobile hydraulic power fan, lustrate gas in tank according to gas vent.

8.1 Engine Room Crane & Floating Machine Equipment
The main engine travelling crane to be 2t hand singke-rail with arampon. The main engine travelling crane should thinking that hang piston & piston rod out in one time. The round steel sticks to be arranged on auxiliary for crane girder.
The eye plate to be arranged at tail pipe in bottom of engine room, so that assemble and disassemble & transit propeller shaft.
It should be considered that transit convenient and hang out to engine room of large soare & equipment in main engine & auxiliary engine.
8.2 Checkered, Ladder & Grate In Engine Room
The thickness of checkered plate in engine room to be 5mm, supported with angle iron supporting frame, for the sake of overhaul convenient. The removable part to be arranged at manhole under the checkered plate as necessary. Several & appropriate grill to be arranged in engine room.
Several ladders to be arranged, so that reaches each deck & each grill expediently. The slope of all main ladders should not higher than 60º, the width of ladder to be 600mm, foot step use steel flat or non-slip checkered steel plate, thin steel plate protector to be arranged under the main ladders. Double accommodation rail to be arranged at grill, ladder & platform, made to be dismountable in the necessary station so that overhaul machine conveniently.
8.4 Engine Room Fire Fighting Equipment
Except for fixed CO² firefighting system, water firefighting system in engine room, two sets 45l carriage foam fire extinguisher, two piece shoulder jet foam ejector device (PQB8.C style), portable type foam fire extinguisher& portable type dry powder fire extinguishing etc. To be arranged and the emergency respiration apparatus should to be arranged.
