The formidable Mangust 12150 High Speed Patrol Boat / Interceptor is in service with the Russian Navy, Federal Security Service (FSB) and Customs Service of Russian Federation.

Designed by Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau., 62 units of the Mangust Class have already been delivered, and we can now propose this patrol boat built under licence by our partner shipyard Grani Ltd.

The patrol craft is designed to operate in coastal areas, ports and other littoral areas, to perform missions such as :

protection of territorial maritime borders,
law enforcement,
defense missions,
search and rescue,
protection of fisheries,
enforcing rules of navigation.

The vessel is available in a number of configurations to address any duty that requires high speeds.

The extremely capable vessel has impressive seakeeping, speed, maneuverability, range and stability characteristics.

The well proven hull design is easy to operate, provides a smoother ride, reduced crew fatigue, and operator friendly access to maintenance and mission equipment packages.

If very high speeds are required propulsion is provided by two MTU 10V2000M93 main diesel engines, each driving an ASD-14 Arneson surface drive fixed-pitch propeller or a Rolls-Royce KaMeWa FF500 water jet controlled by Vector Stick-IIC joystick system. This propulsion system develops a maximum power output of 2,240kW (3,000hp) for a maximum speed in excess of 54 knots.

Other propulsion packages are available when lower speeds are acceptable.

The shipboard power is supplied by a 26kW diesel generator.

The Mangust class boats have a maximum speed of around 54kt and cruising speed of 36kt. The maximum range of the boat with maximum fuel capacity is 410nm. Tankage includes 2,000L of fuel and 290L of fresh water, with an endurance of two days.

In the SAR Version the high speed allows the boat to effectively conduct search-and-rescue missions involving the transportation of rescue teams, survival aids, medical and fire-fighting equipment to vessels in distress..

The boat offers low noise level and incorporates optimal compartment layout ensuring excellent working and living conditions for the crew and passengers. Crew comfort is further enhanced by the air conditioning system in the crew’s cabin and pilot house.

The boat can be transported by all modes of transport including aviation.
