This one owner Sly 42 Fun combines the pure joy of sailing with great performance, functionality and comfort for everyone on board.

Designed and built in Italy this elegant cruiser-racer suits owners preferring simplicity above deck and liveability below. The unique layout is carefully planned for adaptability, safety and space giving it a feel of a much bigger boat.

Sly 42 has a generous sail plan, a reduced displacement and efficient appendages, features that contributes to high performances  in any situation. Mast, boom and bowsprit are in carbon, with rod shrouds and Kevlar backstay.

On this boat all details are carefully planned to be functional and grant comfortable sailing. The L-shaped benches allows guests sitting “living room style”, whilst the movable tables can be lowered to the bench level to obtain a large sun bed. Any configuration allows free passage for the crew.  A great feature is the big “Auto-Bimini” : operated by 4 pistons it allows the sun-cover to be extracted from the its housing and provide exceptional sun shade or shelter against humidity.

The interior is elegant and luminous , in line with the exterior features of the boat. It is designed for comfort and maximum usability, whether in harbor or offshore.
The main feature is a large open space saloon accessed by sliding doors. There are two very comfortable double cabins, a good sized toilet and a separate shower.
The galley is small but well organized.

Sly 42 Fun expresses the “in” way to enjoy sailing: fun, on-board life marked by large outside areas, performing hull, simplified sail plan (self-tacking jib), fittings geared towards open-air maximum liveability. Sly 42 Fun is the evolutions of the winning Sly 42 designed by Marco Lostuzzi.

On the Sly 42 Fun all details are carefully planned to be functional and grant comfortable sailing. All operations are placed between steering and benches, protected by gunwales and far from guests’ cockpit. The arrowhead roof widens the space between benches in which 2 movable tables are housed. The L-shaped benches allows guests sitting “livingroom style”, whilst the movable tables can be lowered to the bench level to obtain a large sun bed. Any configuration allows free passage to the crew, another enjoyability sign. The large astern cockpit is suitable as bathing-deck with foldable cushions resting against the broadsides. In coherence with exteriors the Auto-Bimini expands the deck dimensions. Operated by 4 stable pistons it allows the sun-cover to be extracted from the housing to provide exceptional sun shade or shelter against humidity. The abow deck shows pure and essential lines to grant maximum safety to operations.

Interior preserve same concept as the exterior, keeping the craft nature: an open-space with special care to the saloon and to the head compartment. A sliding panel and two side cupboards, separate the saloon from the master berth. The bench astern the berth can be used as additional sofa, whilst between the sofas is a useful folding table. Galley is equipped with a tilt-block, ice box and sink. Astern it opens on port side the guest cabin, while on the opposite side it’s located a comfortable head compartment with separate shower that allows access to a storage compartment for sails, fenders and so on.
