Catana 44 Sailing Cat - Huge Reduction - Amazing Value!
Listing ID: 1109494

DESCRIPTION:Catana 44 Sailing Cat
LENGTH:13.41m (44ft)
BEAM:7m (23ft)
DRAFT:1.21m (4ft)
LOCATION:San Francisco Bay, California, USA
BROKER:Geoff Fraser
PRICE:USD 199,000

Catana enjoys the reputation as the builder of the fastest production luxury catamarans. Design features unique to Catana are: - Asymmetrical hulls, which help prevent hobby horsing and aids in preventing the leeward hull from being buried in a wave when sailing to windward at high speeds. In addition, all weight is concentrated toward the center of the hulls making sure weight is kept to a minimum forward of the mast. - Daggerboards, which offer very shallow sailing with boards up and closer windward sailing angles with boards down. In addition, there is an extra margin of safety when sailing in heavy wind-sea conditions due to the ability to raise the daggerboards and "slide" off the face of extremely high waves. Each Catana is constructed using vacuum-molded unidirectional roving impregnated with isophthalic resin. Kevlar and carbon fiber are used in high load-stress areas. The entire structure is cored with high-density Divinycell closed cell foam and all bulkheads are vacuum molded and cored with end-grain balsa. Each customer has total input as to the design and finish of their interior. Sailing a catamaran doesn't have to remind you of driving a bus. If you enjoy the thrill of sailing, prefer better all-around performance without sacrificing safety, and demand the highest quality, then you owe it to yourself to closely inspect a Catana Catamaran. The Catana 44 was first introduced in 1992, this Lock Crowther design continues to be a popular model for luxury cruising. The majority of the aft bulkhead to the cockpit slides open to provide excellent ventilation and access to and from the saloon. Dual steering stations are located aft and outboard for excellent visibility and include Whitlock rack & pinion steering system. This is a lovely Catana 44S built in 1993. Each is a bit different, but the owner is convinced they got it right on this boat with a light teak interior.

The ultimate performance cruising cat. - Ice Cat 61 (New Build)
Listing ID: 4080

DESCRIPTION:New Build - Ice Cat 61
DATE LAUNCHED:Built to Order
LENGTH:18.6m (61ft)
BEAM:8.2m (26ft 10in)
LOCATION:ex factory Italy, or delivered anywhere in the world

The ICE CAT 61 develops from the cooperation betweenICE YACHTS and the yacht designer and engineer Enrico Contreas, father of the legendary catamarans Mattia and one of the most experienced designers of catamarans. The ICECAT 61 is a brand new multihull, characterized by very pure and efficient line. This represents a complete re-design of the legendary SBANDATO , the Mattia 56 thatyears ago, amazed everyone for the speed and manoeuvrability. It established a reference for a cats of that size. The lines leave little to the fashion of the moment, such as the bows completely inclined backwards. We believe that a boat, which is in any case a cruising boat, although fast cruising boat, requires a convenient area in the bow, for example, in order to recover a mooring rope from a buoy without going crazy and this is the philosophy of our cat. The bow is anyway characterized by a scimitar sword shape as we find it on the new ICE 33 and ICE 52. The spacious deck is high on the water, with big volume in the hulls to help when nose dive into the waves when going down wind. The deck high on the water means also dry deck, so great comfort and safety, aspects that the technician of ICE YACHTShave kept in mind at every stage of the project. Now, at a distance of 15 years, with the possibility of building hulls with new technologies and innovative materials, including the construction of epoxy resin, hybrid fabrics with glass / carbon, has allowed to have hulls and interiors furniture light and strong. The weight reduction, translate into more speed and manoeuvrability, without giving up a high-quality interior, with modern design, optimized study to spaces and attention to finishing details. ICECAT 61 construction, interiors and finishes details are the same level of any Ice Yachts mono hull, a level that you cant find in the available cat boats sold presently in the market by mass production shipyard.
